THE TRANSAT CIC 2024

The countdown is on for “The Transat CIC”, the oldest single-handed transatlantic race.

Starting from Lorient, the IMOCA and Class 40 competitors are preparing to sail 35,000 nautical miles to New York. Faced with the challenges of the North Atlantic lows, preparation is crucial, and technology plays a key role.

For this 2024 edition, THALOS in partnership with ROM-arrangé is strengthening its presence by equipping a majority of the IMOCA boats at the start of the race with the OceanBox. Essential for managing and securing connectivity, the OceanBox is crucial for navigation and communication.

Its contribution to race monitoring will also transform the spectator experience, as connected skippers will be able to share their daily lives on the high seas with the world, while remaining focused on their performance.
