Yesterday saw the award ceremony for the Dronathlon at EURONAVAL!
This challenge, launched by the French Navy and the DGA – Direction générale de l’armement, was tasked with developing innovative drone solutions for coastal zone reconnaissance and establishing a situation on the high seas. 🌊
At THALOS, we are proud to have taken part with the SEA-TRON project, bringing together Inanix, SEAir, DIODON Drone Technology, The Université Bretagne Sud with the Lab-STICC, Keys4sea, Avantix, Safran, ÆGIR, RTSYS and THALOS
🔹 Our contribution: THALOS demonstrated its expertise in maritime connectivity by providing the link for piloting surface drones and transferring data during more than two hours of operations. Thanks to our OceanBox solution and Starlink service, we set up a high-speed satellite connection – stable, secure and with worldwide coverage 🌐.
🔹 The results: this enabled live transmission of drone data, while establishing a VPN link for real-time piloting from the land-based control center.
This experience illustrates our ongoing commitment to pushing the boundaries of maritime connectivity and exploring new solutions for the future of the naval sector.
