Driving Sustainable Fisheries and Empowering Crew with Next-Generation Technology

We are proud to collaborate with FCF Co., Ltd. (FCF) on a groundbreaking initiative that advances transparency, data-driven fisheries management and social responsibility at sea.
As part of FCF’s 2025 Electronic Monitoring (EM) deployment program, THALOS is delivering the OceanLive solution to seven longline vessels operating across the Atlantic and Indian Oceans.

OceanLive transforms fishing operations by enabling:

• Continuous onboard video monitoring for complete operational transparency
• AI-powered video review platform for faster, more accurate data insights
• Secure video data management and storage
• Near real-time connectivity via OceanBox and Starlink satellites

This technology captures critical data on deck operations, species identification, discarded and retained catch, live status/ catch interactions, bycatch mitigation measures, and bait uses – supporting science-based fisheries management, advancing transparency and responsible sourcing practices, and enabling fully traceable and sustainable supply chains.

In partnership with Datafish Technology Solutions S.L., we ensure reliable insights through a risk-based and random sampling review methodology – making monitoring both robust and actionable.

Beyond sustainability, we prioritize crew welfare.

Through OceanBox, vessels are equipped with secure connectivity that enables controlled internet access. This pilot supports FCF’s “Worker’s Voice” initiative by strengthening the integrity of the grievance mechanism and allowing seafarers to raise concerns directly to a third-party organization at any time, thereby helping to safeguard labor rights.

Seven vessels have already been equipped, generating valuable operational feedback to inform future scale-up.
Our sister companies, OCEAN-SAT in Taiwan and ERISAT in Mauritius, contribute expertise in commercial coordination, technical support, and project management to ensure seamless deployment across the fleet.
